Sorry “analysts and experts”: You have been wrong with your projections. Sorry journalists and education writers: You have recycled the misinformation fed by the the various bodies and incorrectly reported the enrolment data as actual outbounds from a country. Sorry Government Planners and spin-doctors: You have incorrectly strategised your efforts. I am presenting the official “actual visa grant” data of outgoing students to FIVE of the key Education Destinations (USA, UK, Australia, Canada and NZ) indicating that the student numbers have declined from India and from over 150,000 in 2009 to 60,000 last year and are declining “overall” and I estimate that it will be about 50,000 at the end of this year 2013.
Statistics can lie. Projections can be faulty but well, the student visa grant numbers, cannot be mis-reported. They are the real trends…
