Ravi Lochan Singh is founder and MD of Global Reach. Started as an idea in 1991, Global Reach has since grown into an overseas education consultancy with 46 offices across South Asia. This growth was further highlighted in a 2024 analysis by The PIE News, which revealed that Global Reach (and IDP) hold the highest number of partnerships with Australian universities for student recruitment. Global Reach was the winner of the Education Agency of the year at the inaugural The Pie Awards (in 2017). Ravi has been working with various international bodies in the development of the self-regulatory structures for the industry. His role with AAERI has earned him recognition as a major stakeholder in the education export industry. He has headed AAERI over multiple terms and continues to be an elected executive committee member. His blogs and commentary have a significant following, and he is referred to as a commentator on international education topics, particularly pertaining to South Asia, and often quoted. Ravi has been awarded for his contributions over the years, including by the Australian Government (Australian Alumni of the year in 2012), and the AIRC award for his contribution towards the introduction of commission-based recruitment in the USA (in 2019). The Pie News included him amongst the top 50 voices on International Education from Asia-Pacific (in 2023), and in 2025, Ravi received the Lifetime Impact PIEoneer Award, which is awarded to someone whose work has had a profound and lasting impact on the international education sector (in 2025).
