The understated “external factors” in the just released Australian India strategy are the deciders… and without post-study-settle pathway “quality education” is not attractive for Indian students… 2035 is too far… we need a 2020 and 2025 strategy!

Don’t run them over because they are not “voters”. Asking “tax paying” Permanent Residents and Kiwis to pay full fees is “unfair”. Also “unfair” is the 4 yr residency requirement after PR for citizenship.

With release of the DIBP 2015-16 statistics on student visas, we can foresee a flattening in student numbers over 2016-17. The growth in student numbers is largely due to declined refusal rate for India and Nepal.
